Student Information
The National Capital Region Graduate Student Services Office (GSSO), located at the Northern Virginia Center, Falls Church, is a satellite office of the Graduate School on the main campus in Blacksburg and handles academic and administrative matters, such as Graduate Education Week, student workshops, student medical insurance, in-state or out-of-state classification, and changing departments or graduate programs in the National Capital Region.
The Graduate School serves as a coordinating and governing body to all the Virginia Tech graduate programs and their students. Policies and procedures offer guidelines on progressing through an academic program. These regulations and other policy information are available online in related links on the right-hand side of this page. Dissertation Support Group
A group designed for those writing their dissertation - or struggling with the process. Meets the fourth Tuesday of each Month, 7:00-8:00, Room 217, Northern Virginia Center.
